As an organization, the existence of the Speech to Text Institute (STTI) revolves around the need for an accurate record of legal proceedings that adheres to prevailing laws and regulations. It’s a standard that should be an uncompromising pursuit for all who engage in converting the spoken word to text. Such accuracy likewise should be a bottom-line expectation of all participants in the legal system.
STTI works extensively with stakeholders from throughout the legal system to inform, dialogue and debate with facts and substance about the realities of the marketplace and the capabilities of various technologies and practitioners. We equip STTI members with resources, studies, and white papers to deliver such facts to clients, lawmakers, and others with interest. And we engage with issues and legislation at the state level in order to effect positive change on behalf of the legal system.
